STEAMED TILAPIA FISH ©





This preparation for Steamed Tilapia is my home-style recipe. There are various ways and styles of steaming fish. Sometimes tomatoes, mushrooms, pickled mustard leaf, ginger and chili are added to flavor the dish. In this preparation, I would add sliced gingers to the steaming and later add soya sauce to sweeten the fish.


Ingredients and Preparation

Prepare by slicing ginger and spread on top of fish. Place fish on steamer.
Steam in high heat for 15 mins.
When fish is cooked, discard fishy fish water. For this cooking style, it is best to discard as we are going to add soya sauce over cooked fish.  To Prepare sauce: 3 tbs light soya sauce, 2 tbs oyster sauce, 1 tbs sesame oil, some pepper. Pour sauce over cooked fish.  
For Dipping: Chopped 5 pcs green or red chilies, and  3 cloves garlic into tiny pieces. Add light soya sauce.

  2. The Hainan Chicken is second to none. I always thought that Hainan Chicken Rice came from the hainanese when they migrated to Kuching. Now, we found out that is not the case. In Kuching, along with Laksa, my fav dishes.
